As the world continues to grapple with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people and business globally, we wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with an update of the steps DTTW™ has taken, and will continue to take, to ensure continued operations while also keeping personnel and traders safe.
1. Trade & Operational Support
In light of government restrictions applied in the countries from which we run our trade and operational support, our staff are now working remotely to comply with those restrictions.
This move to remote support should have minimal impact on your experience as a trader location manager.
We remain reachable via mojo, IRC, and phone to deal with any issues which arise.
2. Trader & Trader Location Safety
In light of the current situation, we are allowing all offices to apply for temporary exemption from this prohibition for traders who are impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.
If you want to apply for such an exemption, please submit a mojo ticket with the trader(s) who require an exemption, and we will work with you there.
Note that only those who have obtained approval in writing for an exemption are allowed to offer remote access.
3. PPro8 Trading Platform Resiliency
The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic effects have resulted in a dramatic increase in volume and volatility in global markets. This is a net positive for intraday traders given the greater opportunities presented (just see our Profits).
We want to highlight that we continue to work closely with our technology providers and trading partners to ensure uninterrupted access to markets globally.
We are confident that our trading platform will continue to handle the increased volume and volatility.
We have, however, noticed that the Internet more broadly has been suffering from increased usage as more of the world’s population are confined to their homes, and either working remotely or using high-bandwidth applications such as video streaming or online gaming.
In light of this trend, we encourage you and your traders to do what you can to reduce bandwidth usage at your office location to minimize the risk of network issues between your location and our servers having an impact on your trading access.
We hope that you and all of your traders are able to stay safe in these uncertain times.
