KOSDAQ Market, trading board of KRX, opened in 1996. It is a Korean version of NASDAQ market, established to be a capital supplier of venture and small and medium-sized businesses.

Like NASDAQ it is an electronic stock market, and many high-tech and dotcom companies are listed in KRX KOSDAQ Market.

As the major Over-The-Counter market of Korea, about 1,050 firms are listed in KOSDAQ market with total market capitalization of 10.5 billion dollars and trading volume of 12.5 billion in 2011.
